That’s true, sometimes coffee shops keep the same old boring recipe, without even knowing that there are so many amazing early bird options out there. But don’t worry, Hungry in Dublin has been to many, many, many and many places in order to find the best places to eat in Dublin. We judged those places based on the quality of food, great atmosphere and friendly staff, because hey, you won’t enjoy your breakfast in a rude atmosphere, no matter how great it tastes. We have tried lunches, brunches, dinners, but let’s focus on breakfast. Hold on tight, some of these images with knock your socks off!
Sophie’s, Dublin 2
At Sophie’s you will think that you are on a very early date. In fact, why not? The meals prepared for breakfast look absolutely stunning, the place is a rooftop restaurant, overlooking Dublin in 360 degrees. You don’t just go there to grab a quick meal, you enjoy every bite of it, while looking at the stunning views outside the window. Take those earlier mentioned sunny side-up eggs, for example. The don’t look so boring after all huh? Served in a pan, sprinkled with fresh greens, three types of sauces on the side and voila.
The Grove Road Cafe, Rathmines
In our previous article, the Grove Road cafe was mentioned for their amazing granola. And this time, we will mention it again. At Grove Road Cafe you can be sure to get a nutritious, amazing, big-portioned breakfast. Take granola, for example. It has all the colours of the world thanks to the fruits on top of it. Fresh, moist, yummy. The cafe is located just opposite the Portobello school, it’s very tough to find a spot, especially during weekdays- but hey, once you have a spot you will be amazed.
Mayfield Restaurant, Terenure
We just can’t say enough about Mayfield restaurant. As passionate lovers for food and coffee in Dublin, this place excites us with their delicious breakfast in Dublin. The place has have transformed an old butcher’s shop into an amazingly-looking place, suitable for family and friend gatherings. And since then, Mayfield Restaurant began spreading joy around Terenure. And, just so you know, the competition is highly growing their with a booming amount of coffee shops being opened, attracting customers with their own sprinkle.
Fia Cafe, Rathgar
Fia is a modern, cozy and little cafe focused on offering the highest quality coffee, food, and service in a relaxed and inviting space. The food served is as if angels carved it. Perfectly positioned on a plate and served with a friendly customer service. The atmosphere around is hip, giving a family-friendly impression, it’s modern with today’s music in the background- yeah, that’s the downside because who likes today music? But other than that the cafe serves tasty breakfast, focusing on eggs, toast and avocado. It’s soooo 2017 to have avocados with your toast!
Five Points, Harold’s Cross
It’s so hipster, you won’t believe it. As you wander around Harold’s Cross, you will notice this hip, stylish cafe opposite a gas station. Now, don’t mistake it with a cafe that used to be there before, we believe it was called the Brick House. In this one, the breakfast is served in a stylish way. Five Points Cafe attracts young crowd, the interior is modern, simple style, with wooden floors and tables. There is an eye-catching design on the counter-wall. With so much simplicity around the room, the food on the plate pops immediately. Great taste, coffee is delicious (they use 3FE coffee beans) and it’s a perfect spot to meet up with friends.
Six West Bistro, Dublin 6W
We will finish our top six list with Six West Bistro. This little, cozy and modern coffee shop in Dublin opened up not so long ago. Do not mistake it for another one, because thee used to be a cafe before this one, in the very same place. We didn’t enjoy the previous one, but check out the breakfast served by the newbie in Terenure! These are fresh, soft, succulent pancakes served with fresh red berries and maple syrup. We dare you to finish the entire portion, they are absolutely gigantic.
