I Scream for Ice-Cream! Ranelagh’s Icy Gem

Who would have ever thought that ice-cream would be selling at a vast pace during spring, autumn and even winter? Well, apparently the owners of Scoop believed that these frosty delights will sell all year round. To top it up (get it?), the little store offers a wide variety of other products such as coffee, crepes and delicious gelato. This is a perfect spot to grab your kids for a nice dessert as the shop is bouncing with colorful treats.

Tiny from the outside, tiny on the inside. This is a walk-in walk-out place. There is little space inside, but hey, the ice-cream in a cone should be eaten on the go, right? That is at least what the history is telling us. If you are lucky enough you might grab a lounge chair outside. The food is packed for the go, so it’s easy to enjoy it while walking. The little shop offers a great atmosphere. Just close your eyes and imagine the lounge chair is on a beach and you are licking that delicious ice-cream. It’s a perfect treat after a stressful day in the office.

Scoop offers treats that are quite affordable. 1 scoop of gelato is €3, you can also order whatever size of ice-cream you want, 1, two or any amount of scoops. The gelato is made fresh on the premises using authentic Italian and Irish ingredients. Furthermore, their coffee is sourced from an Irish Artisan Roaster and all of their staff are trained Baristas and Crêpiers. That’s pretty damn amazing if we have anything to say about it!

The Hungry in Dublin went for 2 scoops. They are not stingy with that scoop, let us tell ya! Pick your favorite flavours and drizzle it with any topping of your choice. Feel like you want a nice snack? Not to worry, as Scoop is open until 10 pm from Monday until Thursday and until 12.30 am on Fridays and Saturdays.

There is a bunch of toppings to choose from and whether your buying it for yourself or not, you will feel like your 6 again.
Oh, and since the Scoop has become so popular due to their amazing treats, the owners decided to open up another shop on Aungier Street. Keep it up!
